Top 10 Tunes #2

Once again, these are my top 10 tunes of the week in no particular order...

Ghetto Symphony - A$AP Rocky: I really don't know why but I've loved this song this week

Do They Know It's Christmas? - Band Aid: Since the new Band Aid has come out, I've re-visited my love for the older version. Such a tune!

1998 - Chet Faker: Such a cool beat and just generally a chilled vibe from Mr Faker

Get Away - CHVRCHES: I think my recent habit of listening to Triple J all day has made this song a fave this week, they play this a lot and I love it!

I Love It - Hilltop Hoods: This bought back memories of  when this song first came out and I  loved it again this week. So cool!

Change Your Life - T.I: This has been my workout motivation this week... mainly thanks to Iggy Azalea who's in the film clip, gosh that girl is good!

All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey: Like Do They Know It's Christmas, this is again getting me in the mood for the festive season and I am loving it!

Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson: Oh my goodness! this song is funk funk funky and so cool! I could go on but if you haven't heard it already, go listen!!

Chandelier - Sia: This song makes me so happy and I love it

Straight Lines - Silverchair: A bit old and showing my inner Aussie here but this song has been stuck in my head for the last few days and I've been listening to it a lot!

Top 10 Tunes #1

These are the top 10 tunes I have been loving this week.... let me just say it was extremely hard narrowing it down to 10!

Left Hand Free - Alt-J: This song has such a good beat and makes me feel so summer-y!

Everything Is Shit Except My Friendship With You - Ball Park Music: Excuse the language, but this is such a cool little song! I've re-discovered my love for Ball Park thanks to this!

I Am Somebody - Bliss n Esso: I am probably really late on the bandwagon with this one but this song is such a good one for driving! and the line 'Could've, would've, should've, just ain't our style' has grown to be a fave of mine for some reason.

I'll Go Crazy - Bluejuice: This makes me sad that Bluejuice are ending soon, but such a good song! It also makes me want to go to Southbound (local music festival) even more to see them but I'm not 18 :(

Thinking Out Loud - Ed Sheeran: Oh...my...goodness! Ed does it again with this song! The radio plays this to death but I'm not complaining because every time I'm in the car and it comes on the volume goes up and I sing at the top of my lungs. Such a beautiful song and film clip.

Cosby Sweater - Hilltop Hoods: This is such a cool song! so catchy, clever and such a fave of mine! The video clip is so cool too!

Won't Let You Down (ft. Maverick Sabre)  - Hilltop Hoods: Another Hilltop Hoods song but I LOVE this! This is such a summer festival song to me and every time I listen to it I can imagine it being played to a huge crowd with thousands of people singing along. I can't describe my love for this.

RUN - San Cisco: When RUN came out I loved it straight away. It's so fun and catchy and has such a good beat!

Throw Me In The River - The Smith Street Band: Okay this one is interesting because when I first heard it, the first verse is so soft and slow... so the perfect relaxing/going to sleep song. It then got to the chorus and it completely changed and became so heavy! but then slows down a bit. Still love it!

Australia Street - Sticky Fingers: First of all I love Sticky Fingers, such a cool band. This song is so chilled and perfect for summer.

life update- almost finished!

So this is more of a life update or I guess a little 'journal entry' but today I am so happy. I had my second last exam today, with the last one tomorrow (Indonesian... eeek!) and I'm realising how close I am to finishing school for the year and all the exciting events that I have to come this summer.

The weather is beautiful at the moment! the sun shines and it's getting hotter which means that I'm starting to use my ceiling fan. This is a reminder that summer is creeping up!

I enjoyed this afternoon lying on my freshly washed sheets, having some serious laptop time while listening to music and wearing my favourite Bali shorts.

This post is a little off but I felt the need to share. Have a happy day!

Bliss Bites

I'm sure this is the hundredth post/recipe you have seen about these beauties but I made a fresh batch today and they needed to be shared.

Firstly, I start with a base. This usually consists of pitted dates and dried apricots but this could vary between any dried fruits. I chop and microwave the base fruits with some water to soften them so they are easier to blend. I also add into the dried fruit mix some vanilla essence, peanut butter, tahini and water. These are just to help bind the bites more and add more flavour, but can be substituted for whatever you prefer.

After the base is microwaved for around 30 seconds, I take it out and then move on to the nutty side of the ingredients. Anything can be used here, whatever you like but I use walnuts, pistachios, sesame seeds and sunflower kernels.

Add these to the food processor, I then added some chia seeds and cinnamon.

Blend these together, then add the base and blend again.

I then roll them into little bite-sized balls and for the purpose of the blog post I rolled them in LSA mix.

It's best to put them in the fridge or freezer so they harden and then enjoy!

Lush Haul!

I visited Lush recently and had to get myself some pamper products!

-Retread Hair Mask: I can't describe the smell but this makes my hair so incredibly soft! I apply a generous amount allover my hair, making sure to get every section especially my blonde parts (as I have ombre hair).

-The Sacred Truth Face: this mask smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling so fresh and renewed. It also feels amazing after being in kept in the fridge.

- Butter Ball Bath Bomb: oh my goodness this is my new favourite bath bomb! It releases a beautiful coco smell and leaves the skin feeling so soft and silky... a must have!
